GDPR Privacy Policy

This policy sets out how HS Resourcing Ltd receives, stores and uses the information you provide and your rights relating to our handling of your data.

Basis of Lawfulness:

In the first instance we may gain your contacts details from publicly available information, databases or from referrals from our industry contacts.

Whether you apply for a position via a website, by email, letter or telephone or you are contacted by HS Resourcing regarding an opportunity we will require your information to interview, match and introduce you to a potential employer. You are free to refuse and give your information freely for us to consider you for roles.  Therefore, the basis of lawfulness is that it is in the legitimate interests of all parties for us to store, retain and process your information for us to provide the service you have requested.

Storage and retention:

Information is stored on a secure, password protected webmail provider and used over time to consider individuals for future career opportunities and maintain accurate career history.

As many people only consider changing jobs after several years we may retain your details for a maximum period of 4 years.

If you do not agree, you have the right to request that your details are removed from our database at any time by emailing helen@hsresouring.co.uk. This will be carried out within one week.

Please note that by removing your details from our database you may not be considered for further opportunities. If you do not request removal the retention period will restart after each contact.

We may contact you periodically to update your information and highlight opportunities to you. You are entitled to request that your details are updated or corrected at any point by providing further information. This will be actioned within one week.

You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you. We will request you supply to us appropriate evidence of your identity.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe that we have not complied with the requirements of the GDPR or DPA 2018 with regard to your personal data.

Processing / usage:

Your information will only be used for the purposes of matching you to suitable vacancies and/ or potential opportunities. They will not be used for any other purposes. Your personal details will not be passed to any third parties without your consent, following the receipt of a full Job Description and information regarding who our client is, where they are based and to which people will receive your details within this organisation.

Passing to third parties:

Information including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, achievements and general location will be shared with potential employers so that they may consider your suitability for roles or opportunities they may have. Initially this will be done on an anonymous basis, i.e. your name, contact details and employer names will be omitted to preserve your anonymity.

Your name will be shared with the employer once they have agreed to meet with you.
